Why would I ever consider storing homeschool "things"??
My old co-op had a "for sale" table that always had homeschool resources for sale at low prices. My new co-op has a resource room with shelves of resources. Not to mention there's always the library and the internet.
I saved flash cards (among other things, A LOT of other things) for 6 years waiting for when my kids would need them. When we moved I HAD to get rid of them (this was such a relief!); now my son is at a point where he needs the flash cards! But, guess what? There is a flash card app for the iPad and I don't need those flash cards! I kept them for 6 years and I didn't need them. Sigh.
Tip #30: If you can't use it within the next couple years or you can replace it from the library or a resource room, let it go. Donate it. Give it to a friend. Sell it on CL. Throw it in the trash. Declutter your space :)
The stress of trying to remember what supplies you have, of organizing them so they don't take over, of realizing you forgot you had something and now it's to late to use it, of trying to teach around all the stuff...all those stresses and more will be relieved when you clear out your space,
